   Descirptive text adalah teks bahasa inggris yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan sesuatu secara umum, tanpa adanya riset atau penelitian secara menyeluruh, baik itu menggambarkan makhluk hidup ataupun benda mati, yang di deskripsikan, misalnya ciri-ciri nya,bentuk nya, sifat nya, dan apa apa nya yang lain nya.*bisa di bayangkan*

  Generic structure atau Struktur dalam Descriptive Text ada 2 yaitu :

1. Identification atau identifikasi: Berisi  tentang identifikasi sesuatu hal yang akan di deskripsikan.
2. Description atau deskripsi : berisi tentang penjelasan, ciri-ciri khusus dan juga penggambaran yang yang dimiliki oleh sesuatu hal yang akan di deskripsikan.
